The lecturers conduct lectures and tutorials in a very interesting and engaging way. They are open to our ideas and initiatives and willing to help us put them into action. A wide range of subjects with English as the language of tuition is yet another way to increase our knowledge of English vocabulary connected with our field of study. There are also a lot of debates, conferences, discussions and film showings. They are organized by the Center and the Society of the European Diplomacy Students (which came into being thanks to common initiative of both students and the Centre). Such events help us widen our horizons and familiarize with many interesting issues. We also have great opportunities to deepen our knowledge on Germany and Polish-German relations, supported by our lecturers who also encourage us to learn the German language. I think I have found here what I expected of university studies: not only book learning, but also the opportunity to acquire some practical skills which I will surely find useful in the future. |

At the beginning I was intrigued by the very name of this field of study. What also attracted my attention was the great variety of courses the programme offered. I decided to choose European Diplomacy because it has been conceived as a macro-field of study, which means that you can study two or even more areas at the same time. I only had some doubts related to the fact that it was a new field of study, so I wouldn’t know what I could really expect before I actually started studying. Now I am doing my second year and I must admit that I have absolutely no regrets about my choice.
